Dropped My Ray Ban Sunglasses

Last week, I had that sinking feeling when I dropped my ray ban sunglasses on the ground and they hit the concrete lens first. I picked them up and sure enough, they were covered in little scratches. I was very disappointed. I had been so careful not to sit on them but instead I had managed to drop them on the floor. My friend, who I was with at the time, told me not to panic as the scratches were small enough that she could get them out. I asked her how and she told me that rubbing toothpaste into little scratches got rid of them. I was sceptical but tried it anyway. I had nothing to lose at that point. To my astonishment, it worked! It had got rid of the scratches perfectly. I was very grateful to her for letting me know how to save my beloved sunglasses.

My Dad’s Love Affair with Dockers

Through the years, we got so used to my dad recounting the day he first met our mom every time he got a new pair of Dockers jeans.

He was with a group of his friends, goofing around, when his eyes zoomed in on a pair of perfectly fit Dockers pants. He admired the jeans first more than the person wearing it. Then, he said, his world suddenly stood still when the girl turned around. It was a case of love at first sight.

Their mutual fondness for the brand sealed their love.

We always smile at my parent’s love story. We can always imagine my mom turning her head in slow motion, flipping her long hair and smiling her radiant smile. My brother and I often said that theirs was like a classic Dockers television commercial. The only difference was theirs was real.

I can’t really keep tab how many Dockers shirts and jeans my dad has. But if that’s what makes him happy, then we will continue to give him that. He deserves it.

I bought my first piece of gothic jewellery when I was about 11 years old. I wasn’t aware it was called as gothic until the first time I wore it out, all I knew was that it looked pretty and I wanted it. I suppose my parents should have known from that moment on that I was bound to turn out this way. Or maybe they did, and that’s why they were discouraging me from buying it in the first place! From there, my collection started to grow. I didn’t necessarily wear them a lot when I went out because, at 11 years old, you start noticing if you don’t fit in and no girl wants to be singled out. Thus, my parents had the privilege of seeing me dressed head to toe in black with bats around my neck, while everyone else saw the “normal” me, much to their dismay!

An Adorable Infant Costume for Ethan

Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a Comment Guess what came in a package today? It’s a really adorable Spongebob-inspired infant costume for my 6-month old son Ethan! Her godmother Lisa, who is my best friend, sent it from New York in time for the Halloween. She knows that Ethan coos and giggles whenever he sees Spongebob on TV so she thinks he will love to be in a Spongebob costume. I actually have already bought a red and black ladybug costume for him but the Halloween costume that Lisa sent him was better.

When we tried the costume on Ethan, it really fitted him perfectly! He looked so cute in it! We couldn’t wait for Halloween to show it off so we took pictures of him right away and sent them to Lisa through email. I also posted them on my Facebook account and I have been getting comments from family and friends all over the world!
